Jesus on Your walk, under the starry skies,
as You went from town to town,
the dust on Your feet, not sleeping much,
what gave You pause
for joy?
From above You drank
of Heavenly Light, but here on Earth
what made You smile
or warmed Your heart?
A Centurion's faith
amazed You,
but did You ever laugh
or feel an ounce of Earthly pleasure?
Father, we on Earth aggrieved Your heart
and our dumb silence
was a source of Your frustration.
I want to know what things on Earth,
if any,
were worth the walk You took
and price You paid.
